What Chord of 3 Strands Ministries Believes:

Summary

We believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the authority for faith and practice. The core tenets of our faith include the Trinity, salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and the importance of living a holy life empowered by the Holy Spirit. We believe that God's grace is available to all people, and believers are called to express their faith through personal piety and social responsibility. 

Chord of 3 Strands Key Beliefs

God: Belief in one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible: The Holy Scripture is the inspired, infallible, and final authority for all Christian beliefs and practices. 

Salvation: Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ, and is available to all people. This includes: 

Prevenient grace: God's grace enabling people to respond to salvation. 

Justifying grace: Forgiveness and new life in Christ through faith. 

Sanctifying grace: The Holy Spirit's power to transform believers into the likeness of Christ. 

Holiness: A central focus on living a life of "scriptural holiness" or Christian perfection, empowered by the Holy Spirit, where believers are called to love God with their whole heart and serve their neighbors. 

The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, sanctifies, glorifies, and guides believers. 

Good works: Good works are not a means of salvation but are the natural and necessary "fruit" of a living faith.   Our ministry should come from the overflow of our relationship with Jesus.

Practices and values

Mission: The church, of which Chord of 3 Strands is part,  is called to spread the knowledge of Christ through worship, witness, and social action. 

Social responsibility: A commitment to create opportunities to minister to people with a variety of struggles, from addictions to mental health to trauma and everything in between.
